Three reassuringly civilised pub-restaurants:

one (the Wig & Mitre) in the City of Lincoln uphill between Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral (SATNAV is LN2 1LU, or LN1 3BN from the Car Park);

another (Caunton Beck) in the village of Caunton on the A616 six miles NW of Newark passing the Sugar Factory towards Ollerton and Sheffield, just west of the River Trent in north-east Nottinghamshire (SATNAV is NG23 6AB); and

the other (the Bottle & Glass Harby) also in north-east Nottinghamshire in the village of Harby-by-Lincoln, just east of the River Trent direction Gainsborough (SATNAV is NG23 7EB).

Although the Wig & Mitre ethos is the same throughout, many people enjoy the subtle differences of all three pubs - which are only 30 minutes or so drive between them.
