Bottle & Glass and Harby Brewstore

In the attractive, rural village of Harby, lying on the borders of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire is the Bottle & Glass and Harby Brewstore.  The local area is historically farming and it’s where Queen Eleanor died (Queen Consort of King Edward the First).  The Bottle & Glass is the only pub-restaurant in the village serving the local community well, with lots of visitors from surrounding villages.

We have two bars which are both cosy and inviting both featuring real fires; perfect in the winter for reading the papers, enjoying a drink, one of our selected coffees or speciality teas.  We have upgraded our decor in lot’s of areas with warm colours and plush furnishings that you would expect in a country village pub.  Fixed wooden seating is covered in warm fabrics and scatter cushions complete the look.  Our dining room is decorated in blues and cream and is bright and cheerful.  Outside is a lovely terrace with tables and chairs and flowering baskets – perfect to relax in the warmer months with a cooling drink.  At the rear of the pub is a large lawn with benches and plenty of room for children to play while Mum & Dad enjoy a drink.

We welcome dogs of all sizes in the bar and garden areas, we ask that you keep them under control at all times.

We have a Main Menu, Specials Menu and Set Menu each offering a variety of starters, main courses and desserts uniquely created by our talented chefs.  Our menus also contain a wide variety of gluten-free and vegetarian choices.  For those who are after a delicious breakfast, there is no better pick-me-up than the Full English which comes in two sizes and alternatives, including vegetarian.

Our children’s menu offers a nutritious range of dishes at very fair prices making the Bottle & Glass extremely welcoming to families.

We hold an excellent stock of wines from around the world, local ales, and ales from our own micro-brewery, continental beers and lagers and a selection of spirits and mixers.  Speciality coffees and teas are also available.

We regularly hold Gourmet Evenings with varying themes and every Tuesday is our Pie & Pint Night and every Thursday is our popular Steak Night.  To keep up to date with our forthcoming events please see our NEW DIARY OF EVENTS on the right of the page.

Harby Brewstore

On the 25th March 2016 we opened the Harby Brewstore which now forms part of the Bottle & Glass.  With microbreweries on the increase and Britain’s appetite for craft beers showing no sign of abating we didn’t want to miss out, hence our new Brewstore.  Real ale fans can sip and savour such delights as Ashworth Ale, Lifford Best Bitter & Queen Eleanor Pale Ale, with the brewery capable of producing 16 casks of ale at a time there is more than enough for our craft ale enthusiasts!  The Harby Brewstore will also supply our sibling pub/restaurants, the Wig & Mitre in Lincoln and Caunton Beck, near Newark.

As well as the microbrewery there is a store selling wine, bottled beers brewed on site, gifts and cards together with general provisions as you would expect in a village store.

Opening Hours:  Everyday (except Christmas Day)
